| Description | Since it was founded in 1936, the UE has always been both democratic and internationalist. This means that we cast our lot with the working people here and in other countries, and understand that it is essential for us to build alliances with workers and their unions from a rank and file perspective. Our most developed relationship is with Mexico's Frente Autentico del Trabajo (FAT), but we also have close relationships with various unions and organizations in both the US and other countries. We fight for the rights of our members at home and work in solidarity with others here and abroad in order to challenge corporate power and corporate globalization.
