Description | The objective of the Center for Economic Justice is to strengthen international citizens movements to counter the negative effects of economic globalization and to promote environmentally healthy, human-centered, and sustainable economies. Through public education, cross-border networking, and advocacy, CEJ helps them gain political power. We also provide technical support and fundraising assistance. Within the U.S., we link these networks with policy advocates, community groups, and activists, with the goal of inspiring and strengthening cooperation.
CEJ has four primary projects for 2001-2: the World Bank Accountability Project (including the World Bank Bonds Boycott), the Convergence of Movements of Peoples of the Americas (COMPA), the Building Power Project, and Strengthening U.S. Activism.
