| Project overview | Mobilizes the public, particularly African Americans, in support of social and economic justice. Danny Glover and Bill Fletcher are engaged in a speaking tour addressing "Globalization and the African World: Why Students of Color Should Be Concerned." "Globalization Monitor" explores the impact of globalization on the African world, and "Sweatshops in Lesotho" reports on our 2002 trip. The "Southern Africa Trade Union Leadership Academy" will promote labor education and leadership development in the region. The "Justice for South Africa: Pay the Debt" campaign supports compensation to South Africans for atrocities committed by the apartheid regime with support from multinational corporations/banks. |
