| Project overview | This project would organize field visits between farmers in the USA/Chile/Mexico...to develop common frameworks, common analysis, common action...including shared models for food security, sovereignty, local food systems, fair trade opportunities. It would work to develop positive alternatives in the face of debilitating impacts of free trade compacts...it would work at both policy and action components to support mutual advantages by building grassroots power and bi-national, tri-national efforts. Building upon efforts already underway between farmers organizations...this effort will seek a new creative grassroots alliance by finding common ground and building on common perceptions of corporate led free trade efforts. |
