| Project overview | Zero Mercury Campaign: Together with the Mercury Policy Project, Toxics Link India, and others, BAN has launched the Ban Mercury Working Group (Ban-Hg-Wg) to organize a global NGO response and combat the global threat of the elemental poison that is mercury. Ban-Hg-Wg has already participated in and provided key input to the United Nations Environment Program’s Global Mercury Assessment. BAN’s next step is to produce a major report to publicize the disproportionate impact of mercury pollution on the global south, and begin to build a global coalition for a legally binding instrument to address mercury.
