| Project overview | This request is to support youth organizers to increase participation of youth and communities of color at the NW Social Forum ("NWSF") in Seattle on October 14-17. A basic budget of $100,000 has been secured from Ford, Marguerite Casey, New World and several individuals. Although the NWSF Planning Committee and Advisory Committee is comprised of a majority of people of color, funds are needed for youth organizers to educate their communities about the NWSF. The social forums are new to the U.S. and the NWSF is an opportunity to build a strong foundation for future regional and national social forums. |
