| Project overview | Project: Build a local food system.
1. Educate consumers about the benefits of obtaining their food from local producers and distributors
2. Recruit institutions in the valley, like rest homes, schools, restaurants, lodges, etc., to obtain their food locally.
3. Organize the local producers into a single marketing entity (Co-op) so as to supply consumers and institutions in an efficient and reliable manner.
4. Open a store front that focuses on local foods.
5. Develop and maintain a seed bank of locally adapted, open-pollinated crop varieties that comprise a good food base for the valley.
