| Project overview | The III Summit of the Peoples of America is a joint initiative of the Hemispheric Social Alliance/Continental Campagin against the FTAA and the Autoconvocatoria NO to the FTAA in Argentina, to take place in Mar del Plata, Argentina, November 1 - 5, 2005, in juxtaposition to the IV Summit of the Americas which will gather the heads of state of 34 countries of the region - minus Cuba. The Peoples Summit will bring together the major regional and national networks, movements and organizations, to debate and advance in the building of alternatives to the neoliberal agenda of free trade, indebtedness, militarization, and impoverishment. This project aims to support the organizing and realization of this III Peoples' Summit, covering both local infrastructure needs, prgoram development, and organization and mobilization toward the Suumit, both nationally and continentally. |
