Project overview | Protecting workers’ rights in the face of increasingly powerful multinational corporations requires cross-border solidarity. To this end, the Office of Labor Education Research is spearheading a major international conference, to be held February 2006, for trade unionists, academics and activists to share research on multinational corporations and discuss strategies for organizing across borders. The overall goal of the conference is to strengthen a global solidarity network striving to improve working conditions around the world. To ensure that the conference really does represent the world, we are seeking funding to enable 20 additional trade unionists from the Global South to participate. |
