| Project overview | The goal of this conference is to establish co-operation between civil society groups of countries with PRSPs, in an effort to define good governance, the role of aid and community resilience. The intention is to create a poverty reduction decision making process which permits community participation at all levels – planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, allowing for good governance and sustainability.
It is believed that any rejection of PRSPs should be accompanied by alternative suggestions, building upon the WB’s ‘Desirability for Debate.’ Therefore, this conference will establish a forum for practitioners from local, national and international levels, to produce alternative strategies for poverty reduction within these countries.
